Meh
A fantastic band and show with uber-talented 70-yr old band members. Incredible experience. Love & Chaos, where not the right stylistic fit (opening band in lieu of Loverboy who were down with Covid). Styx were phenomenal!! Everyone was dancing and rocking - they blew the audience away. The whole blues/country schtick has been done to death and the crowds weren't having it. But It's a 2000's Party was the headliner. When the singer screams such 70's nuggets like 'Rock n roll will never dieeee,' and every song delved into guitar wankery, the audience responded accordingly. It's a 2000's Party = people sitting and scrolling on their phones; Put it this way: Styx = dancing and singing. I watched loads of guests get up and leave in the middle of their set. If you're considering going to this show elsewhere, Styx will blow you away. The only reason this review gets 4 stars is solely due to the genius of Styx. Really wish Loverboy could've played - it would've redeemed the train wreck that It's a 2000's Party stained the evening with.
